What you can do
- Browse languages by family on an interactive globe
- Search for any language by name, ISO code, or Glottocode
- View classification, speaker count, and endangerment status
- Toggle language families on and off
- Add a new language or improve an existing one — draw its geographic area and submit it for review
- Track our progress — see which languages still need mapping and help us complete the map
Data sources
Language data and classifications are based on Glottolog and ISO 639-3.
